The world is changing. The distance between our bodies is getting bigger. Life is understood through screens. The tactile I am in dissolution. In The Driverless Man, a lonely human being from a digitalized world turns the clock back to 1964 in an attempt to re-establish contact with himself and his body’s material needs. But something has been lost. He does not understand the landline phone, can not recognize the book, becomes afraid of the doorbell\u2026 Only when he finally comes in contact with his original self, he really gets to feel what it costs him to seek the physical and mental presence. The Driverless Man is a tragicomic, nonverbal slapstick and object performance with performer \u00d8yvind Kirchhoff.<\/p>\n
