The Last Excursion is a site-specific walking performance with an old man in a wheelchair and his caregiver, about a man’s farewell to places in his city that had an impact on his life. What makes it special is that it’s played by an actor and a human-sized puppet, and – it’s set in your city with visits to familiar and unfamiliar locations.
\nWith an exclusive team of 20 people, we follow Hans and his caregiver to his childhood home, his father’s tavern, the house the Gestapo evacuated during the war, the soccer field where he got so many scratches, the garden where he met the city’s famous poet, the beautiful tree where he met his wife…
\nAlong the way, there is time for fruit and cake, coffee and cognac; time for conversations, reading your favorite poem – time to think an existential thought with Hans…<\/p>\n

This poetic travelling performance builds on the Olske Orchester’s long-standing basic research with the ‘\u00dcbermarionetten’ as well as experiences from the site-specific night walk “Escape”. Lotte Faarup directs,
\nRolf S\u00f8borg Hansen designs objects and Jonas J\u00f8rgensen does sound design. Performer \u00d8yvind Kirchhoff is a caring nurse for an old man in the form of a human-sized doll placed in a wheelchair.
\nWith associations to Haneke’s film “Amour” and Dan Tur\u00e8ll’s “Through the City the Last Time”, we go on one last excursion with two different characters who, for a moment, look very much alike…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
