Workshop: The creative processes of art
25. November 2019 kl. 11:00 - 11:45
Workshop: The creative processes of art – To be able to get rid of habits and ways of thinking through mask work
Actors from the ensemble make an exciting physical workshop, where the participants try different techniques and improvisation games. Through concrete physical leg braces and mask work, we experience how limitations can release and open up new possibilities for us as human beings. Are masks something you hide behind or a way to discover and work with new sides of yourself?
The mask hides and changes the identity of the wearer, and we feel the presence of another personality who experiences everything that happens for the first time. We see life through someone else’s eyes that open to sides of ourselves that we do not know and forces and imagination that we had no idea we had. The mask frees us from our daily responsibilities and dissolves our perception of who we are. It is the mask that becomes our body, its movements, our mind and voice. The mask shifts focus away from the ego that we all cling to and that limits our creativity and imagination.
The performance SALT is about i.a. about different perceptions of life and condemnation of others and why it can happen… Herein lies that one only sees and understands oneself, and those who resemble oneself. The masks allow you to see other hidden sides of yourself and thus open up the possibility of seeing others.
